April, 2, 2003 - the 130th Anniversary of S.V.Rakhmaninov
Rakhmaninov's anniversary is the important
event in the cultural life of the mankind. His life and creative activity are
inseparably linked with the land of Tambov, where he lived and worked over a
long period of time and where the brilliant composer created the most part of
his compositions. Therefore the numerous arrangements dedicated to Rakhmaninov'
s anniversary were held in the Tambov region. The 22nd International Rakhmaninov
Festival of Music, the 3d International Scientific Conference Rakhmaninov's work
in the context of the world musical culture. The experience and new
investigation trends at the end of the XXth and the beginning of XXIst
centuries, concerts, exhibitions, festivals are among them.
